The 5th annual Holly Jolly Holidays is making its return to Oxford this winter, capturing the spirit of the season with festive experiences that include visits with Santa, ice skating and a newly launched Walk of Lights. mTrade Park will be the new venue! To kick off the festivities, Visit Oxford is bringing the updated ice-skating rink back for an extended time from November 23, 2024, through January 5, 2025.

Oxford is host to some really good Mexican food restaurants. El Charro is the largest one in town and offers an unbelievable setting and always fantastic food. We also love that their owner, Ramiro Munoz, Jr. was just celebrated as one of Oxford’s Top 20 under 40. Munoz’s father opened the first El Charro in Oxford almost 30 years ago and his son is carrying on the tradition. We love that we get to highlight El Charro Oxford this month!

What do you get when you have 3 friends, a love of antiques and an eye for all things beautiful? Blue Willow! We are so happy to highlight this South Lamar gift and antique shop this month.

Two college roommates from the Mississippi Delta had a dream to open their own restaurant in Indianola, MS, and now have 28 locations across 6 states. Lost Pizza, a funky pizza spot with a Mississippi Blues theme, has been thriving in Oxford since 2017. And we are so excited to highlight them this month!

Not only do they offer pharmacy and apothecary services, but they are also host to a coffee shop, grab ‘n go food items and a gift shop. If there’s one thing Oxford is known for, it's the wide-range of small businesses that dish out some of the best plates you’ve ever had, and Good Day Cafe is no exception to that trend. Co-Owners Ross, Joseph, and Executive Chef Patrick have had their doors open since September of 2022 and have been booming in business ever since.

While a Senior at Ole Miss, Erin Young had the opportunity of a lifetime, to open her own business, Olive Juice Gifts on the Oxford Square. After a successful 10 years in the gift shop business, her marriage to Council Young and their first baby girl, they decided in 2021 to open OJK, A Children’s Boutique. They are happily married and now co-owners of OJK. As Erin shared, “This was not a planned venture, but it has been the best and most exciting challenge that we didn't know we needed.”
