Holly Jolly Holidays 2024
The 5th annual Holly Jolly Holidays is making its return to Oxford this winter, capturing the spirit of the season with festive experiences that include visits with Santa, ice skating and a newly launched Walk of Lights. mTrade Park will be the new venue! To kick off the festivities, Visit Oxford is bringing the updated ice-skating rink back for an extended time from November 23, 2024, through January 5, 2025.
Neighborhood Business Highlight: El Charro
Oxford is host to some really good Mexican food restaurants. El Charro is the largest one in town and offers an unbelievable setting and always fantastic food. We also love that their owner, Ramiro Munoz, Jr. was just celebrated as one of Oxford’s Top 20 under 40. Munoz’s father opened the first El Charro in Oxford almost 30 years ago and his son is carrying on the tradition. We love that we get to highlight El Charro Oxford this month!

Neighborhood Philanthropy: Doors of Hope Transition Ministries
Oxford is host to some wonderful non-profit organizations that provide for our community in so many ways. We want to provide a glimpse of these organizations each month. In 2010, while reading the Oxford Eagle, Sherry Williams-Jenkins saw an announcement for a community discussion on homelessness in the Oxford and Lafayette county area. By 2011, Sherry and others had created a vision and mission that became the Doors of Hope Transition Ministries, a 501C3 organization. Their popular Holiday House Tour, returns on Saturday, December 7th and we cannot wait! It’s one of our favorite events in Oxford!
