Neighborhood Business Highlight: The Lily Pad

With Ole Miss Recruitment starting next week (August 15th) and Ole Miss Football soon to follow, Lily Pad is primed and ready for the new school year. From Bid Day Baskets to Game Day clothing to gifts and accessories, Lily Pad has it all!

Courtney Gordon graduated from Ole Miss in 1999. She opened up Lily Pad in Clarksdale, MS in 2000 and decided to open a second location soon after in Oxford, MS. She was fortunate enough to find her spot on the Oxford Square and has been going strong ever since in the SAME location! Courtney recently shared, “Our location is the best on the square! We have a large building and have been lucky to be able to stay in our location since opening. The location lets us be front and center for people coming to visit Oxford! We enjoy forming relationships with students and parents of the university and sending the students gifts throughout their time here at Ole Miss!”

The Lily Pad specializes in Greek Recruitment baskets and items and even have an order form each year to help celebrate the occasion. They also sell cute, boutique clothing to wear to Ole Miss game days or other events in Oxford, wonderful gifts and accessories and Oxford/Ole Miss gear. AND all gift wrapping is FREE.  Courtney shared, “Being able to wrap beautiful gifts for people and help girls find the perfect outfit for game day or a special occasion makes working retail so much fun!”

We ask our Neighborhood businesses how the Oxford and Lafayette county real estate market affects them. Courtney shared, “As you know, Oxford has become a wonderful place for a second home or retirement bringing several people to town to shop the Lily Pad. Of course, when sports are doing well, the store and town are booming!!”

The Lily Pad is located at 128 Courthouse Square. It’s open Monday-Saturday 9:30 am – 5:30 pm and is occasionally open on Sundays from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. We are thankful to Courtney and her Lily Pad team for sharing their joy of Oxford and Ole Miss with both visitors and Oxford residents!
