Should I Book a Short-Term Rental?

It was officially announced a few weeks ago that the 25th Annual Double Decker Festival would be held on Friday, April 22nd and Saturday, April 23rd and we could not be happier! The last two festivals have been cancelled due to Covid-19, so we are all excited and the festival schedule looks fantastic this year!

Many clients ask us about short-term rentals during events like Double Decker, Ole Miss graduation and Ole Miss football. Neighborhood Realty is happy to announce we will be able to offer some short-term rental options!

Why choose a short-term rental instead of a hotel room? The most obvious reason being hotel rooms in the Oxford area sell out fast! Second, short-term renting a home can provide more room for guests and offer much more space than a hotel room, which is ideal for people traveling together. There are often common areas, kitchens, and outside areas. They are a much better option for a family or group of friends. A third reason? Feel like a local. A short-term rental home gives you the opportunity to stay in local areas, and get a true sense of what it would really be like to live there. Staying in residential neighborhoods means you can really get to know a neighborhood that’s more off the beaten track, find hidden gems in the city, and maybe even find inspiration to live there in the future.

Double Decker weekend will also be the same weekend as Ole Miss baseball against Mississippi State and the Ole Miss football Grove Bowl. It will be the perfect weekend to stay in Oxford and enjoy all it has to offer! Check out our website for short-term rental availability and go ahead and book your stay for Ole Miss graduation or SEC football in the Fall.
