Neighborhood Philanthropy: St. Jude Taste of Oxford

Oxford is host to some wonderful non-profit organizations that provide for our community in so many ways. We want to provide a glimpse of these organizations each month. The 17th annual Taste of Oxford is set to take place Thursday, February 27th at 6:30 PM at The Jefferson Oxford. This wonderful event features cuisine from local Oxford restaurants and a silent auction where all proceeds go to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

This year’s committee members are LeeLee Desler, Pat Neely, Brooks Campany, Richard Cross, Stephanie Barrett, Jenny Rayner, Annie Robertson, and Carlyle Thomas. Elizabeth Randall serves as Committee Chair and Elizabeth Heiskell is the Culinary Chair. Together, this group has planned a fun night filled with fabulous food, interesting silent auction items and live music. Carlyle Thomas recently shared, “I love being a part of this event. It’s so wonderful to see the love and generosity of our community and surrounding communities. I’m completely amazed to see how people come together to support such a wonderful cause.”

As stated earlier, all proceeds from this event will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food, but they believe all a family should worry about is helping their child live. You don’t want to miss this event. Purchase your tickets here!
