But how grateful we are to have Live Well Therapeutic as one of our calm, relaxing ‘get aways’ each month! Shireen Mullink, owner and Massage Therapist, has been calming and massaging her clients back to a stress-free life since 2014.
Walking into Live Well Therapeutic, you immediately find a litany of services that cater towards therapies that promote muscle recovery, relief and relaxation, as well as skin care therapies that can help reduce inflammation and rehydrate the skin. In fact, Live Well currently employs eight providers with services that range from massage therapy, stretch therapy, cryotherapy, saunas, and esthetician services, as well as a fully operational apothecary bar that all work to encapsulate Live Well’s ever-expanding role to contribute to the community’s health and wellness through different types of therapies.
Shireen Mullink started Live Well back at the tail end of 2014 in a building located on Jackson Avenue West, where she operated as a one-woman show for many months by scheduling appointments, conversing with clients, administering massage therapy, and handling the day-to-day upkeep that comes with managing a business all on her own. Shortly thereafter, in the year 2016, she moved locations to West Oxford Loop, where she recently shared that “it has become a place that infused the hustle and bustle of Jackson Avenue while maintaining the tranquil silence that is conducive to a peaceful, therapeutic atmosphere.”
Shireen further shared, “One of the many rewarding aspects of working at Live Well Therapeutic is connecting and helping the Oxford Community deal with chronic pain, stress or any type of rehabilitation. Specifically, a moment that is often remarked upon by staff and therapists alike is when individuals arrive with either observable pain or unobservable, but often overwhelming amounts of stress and anxiety, and within the span of sixty minutes or less, there is a visible improvement in their expression and demeanor that is carried forward as they walk out our doors and continue to Live Well.”
Live Well Therapeutic offers many great services, but Shireen and her staff highly recommend the Sunny Serenade Bundle, which consists of a sixty-minute stretch therapy session with an add-on spot treatment of cryotherapy, sixty-minute-deep tissue massage therapy, sixty-minute facial, thirty-minute infrared sauna session, and finish with a refreshing drink of your choice from their apothecary bar.
