I am just finishing up a kitchen remodel at my personal home. It was a large scale project that we knew would be expensive, but we felt comfortable moving forward due to the fact that we had a  wonderful contractor (Oxford Cabinetry and Stone) who explained everything in detail before we began the process. However, there are ways to spruce up your kitchen without breaking the bank. Thanks to this realtor.com article for sharing some tips!

1. Upgrade your hardware. You can choose pulls and knobs that fit your style. Upgrading to soft-close hinges on your cabinetry is also a win-win.

2. Make a bright statement with a new light fixture. Magnolia Lighting has some fantastic options.

3. Paint. You can paint an accent wall or paint your cabinets to give a fresh, new look.

4. Try adding an energy efficient fan to your kitchen.

5. Replace your old kitchen sink with a new one that reflects your style. Southern Bath and Kitchen recently mentioned apron-front sinks (farmhouse sinks) were the popular style now.

6. Add a few glass-front doors to some cabinetry. This is a great way to get a high-end look for less.

7. Consider adding an island, if you have the space.
