Neighborhood Business Highlight: JustCakeIt!

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we could not think of a better business to highlight than Crystal Dunn’s JustCakeIt! This custom, made-to-order bakery on Jackson Avenue West serves up some of the best sweets in Oxford and its even got a special Valentine’s Day Menu available. Love is in the air and JustCakeIt! is serving up lots of love with their specialty desserts!

In 2012, after the unexpected passing of her daughter, Alyssa, Crystal Dunn opened Alyssa’s Heavenly Sweets. Her passion for baking and need to busy her days led to this first venture. With the support of her family and her deep faith in God, she was able to open JustCakeIt! This bakery specializes in custom cakes, cupcakes, dessert cakes, cookies, candied apples, chocolate covered fruit, and other sweet treats. Her West Jackson avenue bakery also offers Bluebell ice cream flavors and special doggie treats! Crystal shared, “I love seeing the smiles on my customers' face when they try our products for the first time. I also love being able to inspire so many to believe that their wildest dreams can come true.”

JustCakeIt! has only been open in its current location for six months, but business has remained more than steady. Crystal shared, “I love the walk-up traffic from all of the customers in our shopping center, the large parking lot, and the easy accessibility to my store from the highway.” The bakery takes special orders, usually requiring as much notice as possible. However, their Signature Buttercream Rosette Cakes and cupcakes can usually be made and picked up next day, if their schedule permits.

We ask our Neighborhood businesses how the Oxford and Lafayette county real estate market affects them. Crystal shared, “I've only been open for about 6 months and I think that the real estate market brings a wide range of customers to our bakery from near and far.”

JustCakeIt! is located at 2580 Jackson Avenue West, Suite 34. They are open Tuesday – Friday 11:00 am – 7:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
